About Chef Kia

Food is a passion of mine that is undeniably embedded in my D.N.A. I have been in the food and hospitality industry for 22 years since I was 14 and got my first job at Friendly’s restaurant in Annapolis MD. In August of 2018 I embarked on my journey to get my A.A.S in Culinary Arts from PGCC. While there I was inducted in the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS), I was part of Women of Wisdom were I also received several awards for my accomplishments. I graduated from PGCC in May of 2021, finishing my last semester with a 4.0. I started Growth and Unity Catering LLC in March of 2021. Our vision is something I stand behind 100%, “Food that feeds your spirit”. My goal as a caterer, chef, and business owner is to make sure my customers are 100% happy at all times. I strive for that moment when you taste my cooking and it takes you back to a time of fond memories and family gatherings. So, come on, let’s take this trip down memory lane…through food!
